Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to all those who attended the wine tasting event on 13th September. The event was a great success, with around 20 members/prospective members in attendance.

The evening was hosted by Kelli Coxhead from the The Wine Shop in Winscombe, who was very engaging and kept us all entertained. The catering was by provided by Sapore Italiano, which is the Italian deli in Nalisea. The food was fantastic and we’d like to thank Sylwia and Domenico for their efforts.

Next event

The next event will be the Christmas quiz and drinks on 7th December. The quiz will be held at the offices of one of our members, Allegro Logistics, who are based at 3 Blackfriars Road, Nailsea, BS48 4DJ.

Food and drinks will be provided with a prize for the winning team and runners up! The entry fee will be £5 per person for members and £10 per person for non-members. We’d love to see as many of you as possible!

Nailsea Community Christmas Fair

We’d also like to remind everyone that the Nailsea Community Christmas Fair is set to return in 2017!

In order for the event to continue to grow and flourish, it very much needs the support of the local business community, both by way of sponsorship and by local businesses getting involved with the event itself.

There are still sponsorship packages available, full details of which are available at:

In recent years the Chamber hasn’t collected any membership fees due to a number of factors including administrative changes, upgrading of the website and changes in the fee payment method. However, without the collection of an annual membership, it becomes difficult to identify who our active members actually are!  As a result, we have now re-introduced the membership fee, which will be £15 per business, per annum. Members will benefit from subsidised fees for entry to events and access to member only meetings. As we are only introducing the membership fee now, the fee will include membership for the whole of 2018.

If you would like to become a member, or renew your membership, you can do so online at:

The Committee

As you may be aware, Sharon Brown has decided to stand down as Chair of the Chamber. Della Hudson will also be standing down as Treasurer for the Chamber. We’d like to thank Sharon and Della for all of their hard work and support to the Chamber.

Moving forward, we have appointed an ‘interim council’ to lead the Chamber until our next AGM, which is scheduled for 17th April 2018. The roles will be as follows:
